While on my vacation we went to Galaxy Taco in La Jolla. It was awesome there.
There was a wide selection of authentic Mexican food served there. I went there on Taco Takeover Tuesday. On every Tuesday, they bring in a chef from a different restaurant. That chef does 3 different kinds of taco their own style. That week, they brought in Nancy Leon, the Owner of Chans Bistro in Tijuana, BC. She made a Chinese Braised Oxtail Taco, a Confit Duck Taco and a Grilled Curry Tofu Taco.
I got the Wood Roasted Sweet Potato Taco. It had monetary jack cheese, arugula and salsa arbol. It had the perfect balance between sweet and savoury with the ingredients. Plus, if you add some of the green hot sauce/salsa, you get a really nice kick.

I also got their churro. I got, to be honest with you, it was the best churro I had ever had. I was fresh and warm with a homemade chocolate dipping sauce. It was awesome.

On a trip to San Diego, we found an awesome restaurant by our hotel called Ty’s Burger House! Now, I ‘m not just saying this because the restaurant has my name in it. This restaurant was awesome.
I got the classic burger. The classic burger had american cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, a pickle, their house sauce and of course the beef patty and a brioche bun. The patty was very juicy and succulent and was grilled to perfection. The bun was perfectly toasted. Everything worked together really well. I think overall that Ty’s Burger House is the best burger shack I’ve ever visited. I give Ty’s Burger House 4 ½ stars out of 5.
First off I would like to say that this is not one of the posts I need to catch up on. I actually reviewed Meat and Bread yesterday. We went there for lunch. So I hope you like it and away we go!
When we first entered we were hit with a delightful aroma. We went up to a man and ordered. I got the Today’s special: Rossdown Farms Chicken Poutine Sandwich and my dad got the Pulled Beef Sandwich and the Curry Squash soup.
The Rossdown Farms Chicken Poutine Sandwich had roasted chicken, gravy, cheddar cheese curds, crispy potato slices and truffle aioli. It was $9.5.
When we ordered to the man, with a booming voice, he boomed out, “One special, and one beef!” After about a minute, we got our food. We quickly grabbed a seat, because it was so busy. I opened my box up and took my first bite. There was so much meat in the sandwich that after I was done, half of the meat was in the box, yet my sandwich was still overflowing (before I ate it all). The chicken was really juicy, the potatoes where really crispy, the cheese curds were really cheesy (of course), and the gravy in the sandwich surprisingly, didn’t make the bun soggy. It was really delicious. I give the sandwich :star: :star: star: :star: out of 5 stars.
I give the restaurant an overall rating 5 out of 5 stars. So if you are in the Downtown Vancouver area and looking for something to eat, than consider going to Meat and Bread. You’ve gotta eat there.
I know this is my second post today, but I’m just trying to make up for all the days I didn’t post. Plus, there are are a lot of things I want to share. Anyways, this review is different. I’m not reviewing a restaurant. I am reviewing a very spicy (and when I mean spicy, I mean burn your tongue of spicy.) hot sauce. It is made from habanero chiles grown in the Yucatan Peninsula. A habanero is one of the hottest chiles in the world. “This hot sauce is prepared with habanero peppers, onions, lime, spices and other ingredients, proudly represents the authentic Mexican Cuisine.” According to the bottle. You can put it on anything that you desire, soups, chicken, meat, fried eggs, rice, tacos, etc. We loved it so much, my family used over 3 quarters of the bottle in under 3 days. So today, we went back to the store and bought another 3 bottles of it. The place we bought it from was at Farm Gate on Mayne Island, BC. If you ever see it at a store, get it. It may not just be at Farm Gate, it could be at your local super market. So keep your eyes open.

Food Cart Fest Vancouver is a gathering of over 20 of the city’s top Food Carts presented by Vancity, Arrival and The Streetfood Vancouver Society. Join them every Sunday in the Summer at the Olympic Village for food, fun, and sun complemented by community markets, live music, DJs, craft food vendors, kids activities, ping pong, urban gardening, and more. Admission is $2.50, and free for Vancity members or with a non-perishable food donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. I will be there this Sunday reviewing one or two of the food trucks. I’ve already reviewed Yolk’s, so I won’t be reviewing that food truck. But if your free, go down there and try their food. I gave their restaurant :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: . I strongly recommend their hashbrowns and egg bennys.

A couple weeks ago, my Uncle Roger gave me the spiciest noodles in South Korea. I put the noodles in a pot and filled it with water. Then, I boiled it on HIGH heat for 3-4 mins. After I drained the water out of the pot, I put the noodles into the bowl and poured the packaging into the noodles. As soon as I put the packaging on the noodles, they turned blood red. I took me an 2 hours and 4 ½ mugs of water to finish the noodles. I know water makes it spicier, but we had ran out of milk., so I had no choice. I loved the noodles, so I give it…

You’ve got to check out Yolks. The whole restaurant its self is amazing. The food is great and the service is wonderful. They have really nice servers at Yolks and so is the owner. Inside the restaurant is a machine that literally squeezes oranges to make orange juice. It tastes great. Above is some pics of the food. The first 1 is their Egg Benedict, the second dish is the hash browns, and the last picture is their pancakes. The presentation and creativity is super. The only bad thing I can say about Yolks is that it is quite busy between 9 AM-1 PM. Otherwise I would say that their food is top notch. You’ve got to eat here.
